The fascinating world of transportation, hop aboard the artistic journey.
My transportation paintings depict the diverse methods of moving people or goods from one location to another. As an artist, I find myself drawn to the various modes of transport—trains, planes, automobiles, bicycles, boats, wagons, and even rockets—and transform them into artistic expressions on canvas. Whether it’s capturing historical migrations via wagon train or envisioning the future of transportation through SpaceX, transportation art invites us to buckle up and explore what’s out there.

Canvas Type: Gallery Wrap Stretched Canvas
Frame: Unframed; Ready to Hang
Signed: On the front
COA: Signed Certificate of Authenticity
An old wooden rowboat is docked at a pier on a lake or pond in this oil painting.
A one-of-a-kind painting of an old wooden rowboat moored at a pier with lily pads and water reflections. It captures that nostalgic feeling of summer. Hand-painted and signed in the lower left corner by marine artist Teresa Bernard.
Skillfully created by hand on a quality gallery wrap canvas, Rowboat at The Pier extends its composition around the sides of the canvas. When an artwork is painted on this kind of canvas, a frame is not necessary for exhibition; yet it will still look amazing if you decide to have it framed. It comes with an official Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
Artists frequently draw inspiration from their surroundings. We live out in the country. One of our neighbors lives down the road and around the corner from us. He has a large pond near the road with a small dock and a rowboat tied to it. Across from him is another neighbor who also has a pond near the road. It’s a smaller pond with lily pads. We pass by these two ponds almost every day on our way to and from our place to the nearby towns. The inspiration for this painting came from our neighbor’s ponds.

This is an original landscape painting of a classic Ford V8 from 1934. The vintage car is similar to the one driven by the notorious Bonnie and Clyde. This painting adds class to any wall or space in your home or workspace. It is painted by hand on gallery-wrapped stretched canvas allowing the artist to continue the composition to the sides of the painting. This painting is of a vintage Ford V8, the same type of car that helped make “Bonnie and Clyde” famous in the early 1930s. Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were notorious fugitives who traveled throughout the central states of North America with their gang during the Great Depression, robbing and murdering wherever they went. The couple’s crime spree ended in their car when they were ambushed by Texas lawmen at a roadblock and then shot to death when 100 armor-piercing bullets riddled the vehicle. Bonnie and Clyde were buried in separate cemeteries in Dallas, TX. Clyde’s gravestone reads, “Gone but not forgotten.”
Today the actual bullet-riddled death car driven by the infamous couple is on display at Whiskey Pete’s Resort and Casino in Primm, Nevada. There is no admission charge to see the exhibit. For more information about the actual car, Bonnie and Clyde met their demise in, visit Roads & Rides. See additional information at Roadside America.

Title: Bow of the Boat
Size: 18″ w x 18″ h
Canvas Type: Gallery Wrap Stretched Canvas
Frame: Unframed; Ready to Hang
Signed: On the front
COA: Signed Certificate of Authenticity
A wooden boat painting in a cropped composition of the boat’s bow. This large painting is simple and minimalist in design.
The painting depicts a nautical scene featuring a wooden boat, presented in such a way that the viewer is only privy to the vessel’s bow and the surrounding water. It showcases a dramatic interplay of light and shadow, alongside a juxtaposition of warm and cool tones. The sun’s warmth is palpable as it illuminates the boat’s bow, creating a stark shadow on the cool water beneath. Hand-painted and signed by marine artist Teresa Bernard in the lower left side.
Bow of The Boat is a unique oil painting that can be displayed without the need of a frame. It is meticulously hand-painted on artist-grade gallery wrap stretched canvas which allows the composition to extend around the sides of the canvas. However, if you prefer to have it framed, it will look spectacular! A custom Certificate of Authenticity (COA) accompanies the piece.
In a world dominated by modern materials, a traditional wooden boat stands as a testament to craftsmanship and timelessness.
Artists often draw inspiration from their peers, admiring and emulating their work. The inspiration for Bow of the Boat came from an art teacher years ago. He enjoyed doing paintings of boats. In several of his works, he would focus on a particular section of the boat by cropping the rest, a technique I have adopted in this piece.

A surfer girl clad in a blue jacket carries her white surfboard with orange stripes as she walks down a beaten path to the beach. This one-of-a-kind artwork is sure to be quite the conversation piece for anyone who loves the beach and surfing. This beachy art piece comes with a custom Certificate of Authenticity (COA) with your purchase.
‘Gone Surfing’ is a simple yet evocative phrase that captures the essence of escaping to the waves. It conjures images of sun-kissed beaches, saltwater spray, and the thrill of riding a board across the ocean’s surface. Whether you’re a seasoned surfer or a daydreamer, those two words encapsulate the freedom and adventure that await in the vast blue expanse.
When I was a young girl growing up in Texas, my family did not live anywhere near the coast. I’d watch reruns of TV shows and movies starring Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello, and other teen idols who surfed the waves, and I would daydream about the thrill of surfing myself. Had we lived near the beach, I might have been the teenage girl portrayed in this painting. Those days have passed, and I never learned to surf, but if I had…

This piece of rural life art is hand-painted on a gallery-wrapped canvas that is stretched around the edges, eliminating the need for framing and providing a modern appearance when displayed.
This tractor tire painting was a little bit of an experiment for me. I like to give myself challenges from time to time. For this particular challenge, I wanted to see if I could paint rubber and make it look like rubber. I believe I achieved that goal.
What I like best about this painting are the various textures present in the composition — the wood, the rubber, and even the rusted metal rim. It was an enjoyable challenge painting all those textures and getting them just right. In addition, there are warm colors that contrast against the cool ones. There are so many interesting things going on in this painting; it was a lot of fun to paint!
This painting would be the perfect art piece for the man cave, especially if you love farm tractors or cars. I can imagine no one would have ever thought a tractor tire would be the focal point for a painting.

About the U.S. Space Shuttle
The Space Shuttle is a retired spacecraft system operated by NASA from 1981 to 2011 as part of the United States Space Shuttle program. It was intended to be a partially reusable spacecraft that would be launched like a rocket and landed on a runway like a glider. The space shuttle launched astronauts and cargo into space and returned them safely.
The United States Space Program has constructed six space shuttles since it began. The initial shuttle, Enterprise, served as a prototype and was transported on its inaugural journey by a Boeing 747, although it never reached space. The remaining shuttles, Challenger, Columbia, Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour, all completed space missions.

This painting depicts a beached shrimp boat on the shore of the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) as the blue water flows by winding its way along the Atlantic Seaboard.
This original painting depicts a shrimp boat beached on the shores of the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). The artwork’s background showcases numerous trees beneath an overcast sky. Visible ripples disturb the clear blue water as it meanders gently by the shore. In the foreground is a piling standing in the river’s midst. Artist Teresa Bernard signs this art piece in the lower left-hand corner.
Along the Intracoastal Waterway is an artwork that was meticulously crafted by hand on a sturdy artist canvas board. A custom Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is included with purchase of this marine painting.
In the summer of 1999, my husband Robert and I navigated his 36-foot sailboat along the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) from Florida to Virginia. Robert, a military serviceman, was transferring from Naval Air Station Jacksonville to Naval Station Norfolk. The journey presented us with many fascinating sights along the waterway, offering ample chances to capture photographs for my future paintings. “Along The ICW,” depicting a stranded shrimp boat, was inspired by a photo I snapped on that voyage.
—Teresa Bernard
About The ICW
The Intracoastal Waterway is a 3,000-mile waterway network comprising inland rivers, channels, and canals along the eastern and southeastern coasts of the United States. It is split into the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. The waterway includes both man-made canals and natural water bodies like inlets, saltwater rivers, bays, and sounds.
The ICW stretches from Boston, MA, down the Atlantic Seaboard, around Florida’s southern tip, and along the Gulf Coast to Brownsville, TX. Its main function is to offer a secure and navigable route for light commercial and personal pleasure vessels, providing a safer alternative to the perils of open sea travel.

Title: Covered Wagon on the Prairie
Size: 20" w x 16" h
Canvas Type: Traditional Stretched Canvas
Frame: Unframed
Signed: On the front
COA: Signed Certificate of AuthenticitySeries: Part of the Life in Texas Series
An original one-of-its-kind landscape painting of a covered wagon in the American West. This painting depicts life on the open range.
A Western landscape painting with a covered wagon on the prairie depicts life out on the open range. The wagon waits alone as a lush green prairie rises in the background to meet a sky filled with overhanging puffy clouds. The painting is signed in the lower left side by Texas artist Teresa Bernard.
Covered Wagon on the Prairie is painted by hand on a traditional stretched canvas. Its sides are unpainted and raw. Prior to being displayed, this painting will need to be framed. This works well for those who love the finished or traditional look of art in a frame. Upon purchase, this landscape oil painting] is accompanied by an official Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
I love country living! Years ago, a small caravan of covered wagons and horses with riders would make their yearly trek past our small ranch from a nearby township. Our own horses would race to the fence line to watch as others of their kind passed by, and our dogs would bark to alert us to the passing caravan. Unfortunately, today it no longer makes this journey. That “wagon train” was the inspiration behind this covered wagon painting.
Covered wagons and pioneers are some of the first things that come to mind when I think of the Old West. I love that sense of adventure and pioneering spirit that drove early settlers to pack up their family, mount a covered wagon, and move across the Great Plains to settle out West. They are indeed an icon of the American Old West.

Hot air balloons, those majestic vessels of the sky, evoke a sense of wonder and freedom. As they ascend, the world below transforms into a patchwork quilt of colors and contours.
Every summer the city of Longview, Texas hosts the Great Texas Balloon Race. Dubbed “The longest-running hot-air balloon event in Texas,” this three-day festival brings professional hot air balloon pilots from all over the world to compete in the event.
According to its website, the event began in 1978 as an advertising gimmick to promote the opening of Longview’s new mall. From there, it “ballooned” into the three-day festival spectators enjoy today.
Our family attended this event one year and I got to get up close and watch these balloons as they inflated and took to flight. What a spectacular sight it was! Up, Up and Away painting was inspired by this festival’s celebration of hot air balloons.
