Where Light and Darkness Collide
Silhouettes exist at the intersection of light and shadow, where simplicity meets depth. Their subtle interplay fascinates us, as it sparks our imagination, turning ordinary scenes into enchanting experiences. As an artist of silhouette paintings, I use bold lines and stark contrasts to capture these moments in shadow.
What draws me to silhouette paintings is their quiet power. With minimal detail, they evoke emotion, story, and atmosphere. A single shape against a glowing sky can suggest solitude, mystery, or even joy—depending on how the light falls and what the viewer brings to the scene. They remind us that beauty doesn’t always need embellishment—it can live in suggestion, in contrast, and in the space between light and dark. Below, you’ll find my work capturing those contrasting moments on canvas.
