Title: Three Rustic Jugs
Size: 12″ w x 9″ h
Canvas Type: Canvas Board
Frame: Unframed
Signed: On the front
COA: Signed Certificate of Authenticity
If you like vintage, this still life painting of three rustic jugs will look great in your home or office.
A unique still life painting of three rustic jugs sitting on a wood plank floor next to a white siding wall. The vintage jugs depicted vary in shape, size, and material. One is a two-toned jug made of stoneware, which was traditionally used for moonshine. Another jug is a tin water pitcher that is a pewter color. The third jug is a small dark brown ceramic container with a wire handle. Teresa Bernard signs her painting in lower left-hand corner.
Rustic jugs evoke a sense of nostalgia and charm. These vessels, often made from materials like ceramic, terracotta, or galvanized metal, exude a weathered and timeless appeal.
‘Three Rustic Jugs’ has a folksy feel that appeals to me because of its simplicity; just three simple jugs sitting in an unpolished setting. If you like vintage, then this still life painting will work in your home or office decor.

This painting is of a vintage Ford V8, the same type of car that helped make “Bonnie and Clyde” famous in the early 1930s. Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were notorious fugitives who traveled throughout the central states of North America with their gang during the Great Depression, robbing and murdering wherever they went. The couple’s crime spree ended in their car when they were ambushed by Texas lawmen at a roadblock and then shot to death when 100 armor-piercing bullets riddled the vehicle. Bonnie and Clyde were buried in separate cemeteries in Dallas, TX. Clyde’s gravestone reads, “Gone but not forgotten.”
Today the actual bullet-riddled death car driven by the infamous couple is on display at Whiskey Pete’s Resort and Casino in Primm, Nevada. There is no admission charge to see the exhibit. For more information about the actual car, Bonnie and Clyde met their demise in, visit Roads & Rides. See additional information at Roadside America.

This piece of rural life art is hand-painted on a gallery-wrapped canvas that is stretched around the edges, eliminating the need for framing and providing a modern appearance when displayed.
This tractor tire painting was a little bit of an experiment for me. I like to give myself challenges from time to time. For this particular challenge, I wanted to see if I could paint rubber and make it look like rubber. I believe I achieved that goal.
What I like best about this painting are the various textures present in the composition — the wood, the rubber, and even the rusted metal rim. It was an enjoyable challenge painting all those textures and getting them just right. In addition, there are warm colors that contrast against the cool ones. There are so many interesting things going on in this painting; it was a lot of fun to paint!
This painting would be the perfect art piece for the man cave, especially if you love farm tractors or cars. I can imagine no one would have ever thought a tractor tire would be the focal point for a painting.

Size: 12″ w x 9″ h
Canvas Type: Canvas Board
Frame: Unframed
Signed: On the front
COA: Signed Certificate of Authenticity
A sunset painting of an old, weathered barn with a bright yellow moon overhead. This composition is full of intriguing contrasts.
This oil painting portrays a tightly cropped view of the broadside of an old rural barn, with its planks showing signs of aging and weathering. A bright yellow Harvest Moon shines overhead. Hand-painted and signed in the lower right-hand corner by oil painting artist Teresa Bernard.
The painting presents a close-up perspective of an old countryside barn’s side, with its planks showing signs of aging and weathering. Above it, a vivid yellow Harvest Moon casts its glow. It is hand-painted and bears the signature of oil painting artist Teresa Bernard in the bottom right corner.
I’m a sucker for old country barns. They have a certain charm that appeals to me, especially when they’re old and weathered. And when the composition allows, I love to include them in my landscape paintings.
The Broadside of a Barn is a country landscape painting. To create an interesting effect, I painted this composition with a tight crop. The crop gives the impression that the painting is cut in half diagonally from corner to corner, creating two contrasting triangles. The upper triangle features organic shapes, whereas the lower triangle consists of geometric, manmade forms.
This painting appeals to me because of the many contrasts present within its composition. For example, near vs. far, organic vs. manufactured, curved vs. straight, round vs. square, dark vs. light, etc. Can you find other contrasts?

For those who may not know this and for those who do, we Texans are a proud bunch, and we love our state. One way we show off our Texas pride is by painting our beloved flag on our barns and outbuildings for all to see. It would be a rare thing indeed to travel throughout the Lone Star State and not see a barn or some other outbuilding painted up with the Texas Flag.
The barn in the painting above is a well-known landmark on US Highway 377, just east of Stephenville, Texas.
—Teresa Bernard
About the Texas Flag
The Texas flag, also known as the “Lone Star Flag,” was adopted in 1845 when Texas became the 28th state. It is a rectangle that has a width-to-length ratio of two to three. It has a vertical blue field of color and two horizontal color fields, one white and the other red. The flag also sports a single white star which is located in the center of the blue field. This lone star symbolizes “ALL of Texas and stands for our unity as one for God, state, and country.”
Each color field in the flag symbolizes the following:
Blue stands for loyalty
White represents purity
Red is for bravery

I live in the country, and scenes like the one in this painting are common. They are always a source of inspiration and provide me with material for my paintings.
This painting was a fun one to do. While I was painting the fence post in a meadow of wildflowers, a similar painting came to mind that I had done some time ago. It had a fence post too. However, the fence post in that earlier painting was nestled in the snow. I titled it “Fence Post in the Snow.” Who knows if there will be another fence post painting in the near future.
