A one-of-a-kind landscape painting featuring the side view of a rundown farmhouse captures the charm of years gone by. Its stucco has cracks running through it. And there is a worn-out screen door and window. The yard and bush are overgrown adding to the feel of the neglected appearance of this Raggedy ol’ Farmhouse.

Teresa Bernard, a realism artist, has meticulously painted this 9 x 12-inch canvas board artwork by hand and has signed it in the bottom left corner.  It is preferable to frame this piece of art before putting it on the wall. This painting captures the simplicity and warmth of country life in a bygone era. The farmhouse is old, neglected, and worn, but the overgrown lawn with a few white wildflowers shows that there is still life here.

Artist Comments

I was commissioned a few years ago to create a series of five commission paintings for a gentleman who loves Africa. (You can find those in “Past Work.”) They included the landscape and wildlife of Africa. I really enjoyed doing them as it made me feel like I was actually there on some kind of safari. Every now and then, I’ll do another painting on Africa, and Eye of The Zeba is one of them.
