Artist Comments
‘Grove Snail #2’ is the second in a series of small nature paintings. This art piece features a common grove sail, also known as a “Lemon Snail.” (See below for more paintings in this common snail nature art series.) This tiny creature is an air-breathing land snail (terrestrial pulmonated gastropod mollusk) and one of Europe’s most common land snail species. The grove snail is also found in North America.
