I live in the country, and scenes like the one in this painting are common. They are always a source of inspiration and provide me with inspiration for a lot of my paintings.

This painting was a fun one to do. While I was painting the fence post in a meadow of wildflowers, a similar painting came to mind that I had done some time ago. It had a fence post too. However, the fence post in that earlier painting was nestled in the snow. I titled it “Fence Post in the Snow.” Who knows if there will be another fence post painting in the near future.
